About
Faith, friendship, a place to belong.
Sheffield Hallam Islamic Society, serving Muslim students on campus since 1985.
Who we are
Unity and connection, rooted in the Seerah.
Sheffield Hallam Islamic Society (Hallam ISOC / sheffhallamisoc) is the Muslim student society at Sheffield Hallam University. We promote brotherhood and sisterhood, increase Islamic knowledge, and grow conviction in our deen through fundraising events, Ramadan iftars, weekly study circles and halaqahs, prayer provision, and Friday Jummah — everything for the sake of Allah.
At the Sheffield Hallam Islamic Society, we are committed to fostering a sense of unity and connection among Muslim students, while sharing the message of Islam with the wider campus community. Our mission is to illuminate the teachings of Islam and exemplify the beauty of the Seerah of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) through engaging events and opportunities to serve.

Our vision
Grow in faith, without compromise.
Faith and growth together
Academic life, social connection, spiritual nourishment.
We understand the importance of creating an environment where faith and personal growth go hand in hand. By embracing Islamic values and principles, students can thrive holistically without compromising their deen.
Through thoughtfully curated events, lectures, workshops, and discussions, we aim to facilitate a deeper understanding of Islam's rich heritage and its relevance today. Focusing on the life and teachings of the Prophet (peace be upon him), we seek to exemplify compassion, humility, and wisdom, offering inspiration for personal development and contributing positively to society.
What we offer
More than prayer rooms.
